Tire size for a 16" rim with 3"
Am debating tire sizes for a 3" lift: 245/75R16 vs. 255/70R16 vs. 225/75R16
Currently have 225/75R16 on the Icons, If that helps.
I am keeping the stock bumpers, But I am ok with minor trimming. But I don't want a 265mm wide tire
Thanks!

DirtroadXJ, The Icons are 16x7, 5 1/4 backspacing. This guy has 255/70R16 on his icons (claims it's a 2" RC lift): http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3506358205.html
XJ gunny, I like this one better, It's not as limited: http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp
The reason for not wanting the 265's is 1. I have stock gearing and 2. don't want the required extra trimming.

I run 265/75s on a 2.5" lift but im trimmed like crazy up front (not cause I have to...its from the previous owner).
265s are an odd size. And im starting to dislike the 16" icons.
Im going to either a 33 or 35 in a few weeks with a 15" rim.

The 265/70R16 here look too big for what I am going for: Post 232 https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/xj...d-260/index16/
Anyone know of where to find a picture of a true 3" lift, Icons and the 245/75R16 size? I'm not finding any to speak of.
On the plus side the 245/75R16 should be easy to find at any tire shop, The correct load rating will be a different story.

yarom, Do you have any flexing pictures?
I have the 4.1" bumpstop + 1.25" in the rear and 1" in the front, So I should be good. It worked well with 30x9.5 BFG A/Ts.

265/75R16s (31.5x10.5) aren't going to happen. I've held one in the wheel well and it is bigger than I want or need to trim for. The 245/75R16 I'm OK with it's a tad larger than the BFG 30x9.5 that I had,(The BFGs seem to run a bit on the small side) but am curious about the 255/70R16.
The debate is 245/75R16 (30.5x9.5) vs. 255/70R16 (30x10). I've docked the 225/75R16 it'd be great for a 2" lift, But I have a 3" lift.
