I thought i would "jack" this thread instead of starting a new one.
I have stock 16" 5-y spoke wheels(view my other post for pics. Sorry i cant post pics right now.)
Current tires are near bald, they are 235/70R16.
I have a 3-4" lift, but this is more of a daily, than a trail boss! I was thinking of 28"-30" tires, but what is too wide?
Im not buying grabber tires, just all terrain for the road.
Should i keep the "70R16" or more? I want to keep all 4 tires under $600.
Thanks for the help.

If you want an opinion, I suggest Cooper Discoverer AT3 245/75R16s. I bought 4 70's mounted and balanced at Dunn Tire for $623 down-the-road. Dunn Tire is a national company, but there may not be a store in your area. The 70's are 29.5" in diameter and I think the 75's are about 31.5". The 245's are about as wide as you'd want to go without scrubbing the fender liners at full lock.
Are you sure they're 16's? I thought 98's had 15's on them.

Okay, any day you didn't learn something is a day wasted.
BTW, are you sure your trans isn't a 42re?

Haven't a clue, but they've been making tires since 1902. I've only had experience with Firestone, Goodyear, BFG, General, and Cooper. AND M&H slicks. Oh...wait! My Camaro came with US Royals on it and they were junk! My Coopers were recommended by guys on the forum and so far I like them. I buy All Terrain tires because I need snow traction and can't afford to take them off for the summer. So far, the Coopers seem to wear the best of the ones I've had.
