Ticking Noise
My 2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo recently started making a constant clicking noise (even in idle). Sounded like it was coming from the belt area but the belt is in good shape. Don't know if this is a common thing or easy fix.

There's no 2012 Cherokee as far as I know.
Are you thinking of a Grand Cherokee?
Technical questions for Grand Cherokees go in the Grand Cherokee Technical section, here.
This section is for "Chat", oddly enough.

Dan, I think you may be missing what we are asking. There are Cherokees (including the Laredo variant), which were built up until 2001. That was the last year for them. There were no more Cherokees until Chrysler brought the name back and slapped it on a different vehicle in 2014. So, there's no 2012 Cherokee.
Then there is the Grand Cherokee, which is NOT a Cherokee, and has had many different iterations (different bodies and engines), also used the Laredo name for some variants (stupid, I know), and which is still being sold and actually existed in 2012.
So we are trying to determine if you have a Grand Cherokee Laredo, or if you are mistaken about the year.
And we can all curse the idiots at Chrysler who thought this name confusion was a good idea.
