Default Tempature gauge problem? Digital Thermometer and bottom screen not working?

Its a very strange problem because the tempature gauge just doesn't work at all, but at times when you put into parking or nuetral it will go up to normal operating tempature, it moves around while moving the shifter. Anyone ever have this problem before?

Also the top digital thermometer screen does not work and the bottom screen that should have a little green jeep also does not work.

Sorry, my bad. I didn't mean to jump on you, but we've had a rather large amount of questions asked recently and had to pry information out of posters as to what they have. I'm really not sure about your 93 because my jeep history started with my 97 ZJ. The OAT sensor is in the grill behind one of the vertical supports but your problem is probably in the diagnostic center behind the screen.

Do you have the 4.0 or 5.2, 5.9? You may have a vacuum leak when you reinstalled it.

Next question! I have a 4.0 Inline 6 and I put in 10 gallons 2 days ago and it gave me 150 Miles :O is that how gas hungry these things are? Just did a complete tune up including fuel treatment and im slumped going from 35 MPG Honda Civic to this haha I'm kinda scared to drive now!

Unfortunatly, that's about right! I get about 12 mpg doing my newspaper delivery and about 16 on the highway. That's with a 2000 WJ 4.0 stock suspension, 245/70R16s and 3.55 gears. That's also in 2WD on a 242 transfer case.

IMHO. it's a small price to pay for the ability to go WHERE I want, WHEN I want, regardless of weather conditions. I've driven in snow that blocked out the headlights! It was easier to drive BEFORE the plows came through.

Those little screens lie anyhow. My ZJ kept telling me my coolant temp sensor was bad and it was fine. I replaced it twice with no change. It also told me my tail lamps were out when everything worked fine. I replaced ALL the bulbs and it was satisfied.

Yeah definitely worth the luxurious space and ability to go through these huge mountains near my house ! I have an offroad trail about 5 minutes away haven't gone for it yet since im scared to abuse my baby!

Is it relatively safe to go on easy offroad trips at a safe and slow pace? Everything is stock

If you don't have a lot of off-road experience, just be careful about lateral tilt, that is sideways. It's really easy to roll a jeep if the angle gets too great.

AND, don't turn sideways when backing down an incline. You can roll it surer than s***!

Otherwise, go for it. Keep the speed down in the rough stuff.
