I have an 04 grand cherokee that while driving stutters while doing 50-60 but if i give it more gas it stops but while going up hill the check engine light flashes then stops once you level out and then its fine and the only code it shows is misfire in cylinder 2 .

PLEASE ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED

 

Obviously a cylinder 2 misfire and that cylinder isn't producing power when under load. The flashing light is a warning that continued operation can cause catastrophic failure. If this is a 4.0, change the spark plugs and clear it of carbon. If it's a 4.7, you're on your own.

 

My 97 ZJ does this now too and Idles up and down in P and N.

 

Just for grins, try a tank of 89 or higher fuel. If that cures it, you have a carbon problem or a burnt valve. JMHO however.
