engine light on--but running fine?

engine light on--but running fine?
hi guys..
my 2001 XJ 4.0 cherokee with LPG is running like a dream..however from time to time the engine management light comes on for a day or two then goes off for a day or two.
everytime a fault reader is used it reports a number of cylinder misfires i think usually on cylinder 4...these codes are always cleared but after a few days the light will come back on.
the truck never misses a beat it switchesw to gas as it should then back to petrol when it should..it never runs rough or misfires yet the engine syetem is detecting a slight misfire??
any help or suggestions would be great

I didn't know there was a difference between gas and petrol?
it may run fine for awhile, but it is likely impending doom for the coil or spark plug on cylinder 4.

thats why i asked for the number i dont now either an cant find nuttin about it, code wise

gas= Liquid Petroleum Gas...LPG
petrol = petroleum
changed the spark plugs..maybe it is the coil rail then...

thank you for that..i am going to have to learn how to work these computers because i can never find anything from the achives!!
looks like it will be either coil rail or injector..i will look into how hard it is to change injector and maybe tackle it myself
