Exclamation Stuck in a sea of information

I got an 08 Trail Rated Cherokee with the 4.7l 16 plug design. I read a lot of mixed reviews on the style of spark plugs to use on the intake/exhaust and some info is somewhat outdated. Wondered what members might suggest these days. I got the Jeep for my daughter and newborn grandson and want it to be safe as 2 of my most cherished possessions will be in it. If you could please list plug numbers and intake/exhaust for each. I dont know much about allwheel drives and fluid changes for them on the transfer case and rear diff. OR how to locate and know if it should be changed. I am in hopes with members input and my mechanical ability you can help put worries aside when she is out and about. MINT 2008

I'm not sure about the 08 Cherokee, but you can try wkjeeps.com for information on the 4.7 with dual plugs.

4.7L Gen II

Intake; Bosch Nickel Yttrium FR8TE2 .040" gap

Exhaust; Bosch Iridium FR8T1332 .050" gap

These are what Jeep calls for.

IDK about that, but I have NGKs in my 2000 4.0 and they stay cleaner in engines with high mileage oil problems. Just remember NGKs are Japanese, not Chinese! LOL!

Now that you mention that, I think I'm getting about 2 mpg more since switching from Champs.

Check my previous post. I gave you the gaps with the Bosch numbers.

All right! I did the work for you! NGK: Intake, LZFR5C-11, gap .039"

Exhaust, PLZFR5B13EG, gap .051"

From the NGK website.
