Starts then stops

Hi I have a 96' ZJ Laredo, 4.0, auto. Yesterday drove like a champion, this morning battery dead, later I tried again in the evening turned over but not strong, it did start with the help of the gas pedal but stopped immediately. Changed the plugs,wires,cap and rotor still the same. Could it be a sensor?? I just don't get it. No codes no check engine light. please help thanks

Get someone to check out your security system. I had some problems with my 97 ZJ. I unlocked the vehicle with the key fob, got something out but didn't start it or relock it and the battery was dead in the morning. On another day, I started it up and it died as soon as I released the key. Several times. Then I saw a little red LED on top of the dash blinking. My horns didn't work at the time so I didn't realize I must have set the alarm by squeezing the fob as I got in. DAMN I HATE ELECTRONICS!!

Just give me an old CJ5 in good shape and I'll be happy.
