I could start my friends 1979 280zx with a key to my 1979 Subaru Brat. Only thing we could figure was they shared a common parts vendor?

I had a 67 Camero and my trunk key would start my friend's Chevell. He was pissed! It was the same key number. His trunk key wouldn't start my Camero and he was livid. So much so that he changed his ignition lock!

At least the Camaro and Chevelle were both produced by GM, Subaru and Nissan aren't affiliated that I know of! BTW my buddy was kind of pissed too, thing is it came in handy cause while he was away for a few days the battery in my car went dead so I used my key to take his car to get a new battery but I never told him.
