Whole lotta problems with a 99WJ
I have a 99 grand cherokee and when I bought it came with a number of problems. I was hoping someone could help me with some.
1. The right rear door will not lock or unlock and it makes a weird noise when I hit the lock and unlock button. Any thoughts on what it is or how to fix it?
2. The A/C just got recharged and got a new air filter but the A/C will randomly go on and off while I drive and sometimes it just doesnt turn on at all.
3. It makes a noise like a boat turning when I turn it. Like a creeking noise
4. Is there anyway anyone can explain to me how to make it so my aftermarket front speakers work for the tweeters too cause the tweeters ive replaced and one is blown already. I have the infinity gold sound system.
5. When I put in new aftermarket speakers will I have to do anything to the amp or can I just hook em up in it and go?
If anyone can answer these questions for me thatd be great! Thanks!

Ohh and one last thing I forgot. When its in idle the rpms jump up and down and its pretty much reving itself up without me even touching the gas peddle. Any thoughts what that could be?

As far as your door lock you wont really know until you take the panel off and have look at what the mechanism is or isn't doing when you're locking/unlocking the doors. A/C turning on and off could be electrical related. Check your grounds to make sure they're making a good solid contact. Your high idle could be a multitude things, I'd try cleaning out you throttle body, IAC sensor, and your TPS to start. Not sure what to tell you on your sound system.

Old fart with a wrench
That's odd. My 2000 WJ has the same problem with the pass. rear door. That window is binding also. My A/C is flat and after a recharge it lasts about a week. There must be a leak somewhere but how do you find it?
The surgeing is the PCM trying to prevent it stalling. Check/clean your IAT, TPS, and the MAP sensor hoses for leaks. Look at the CCV hose and elbow for cracks.
Check the front axle CV joints.
On the sound system, you're on your own.
