When starting my 2000 GC 4.7 V8 from cold it cranks for a long time then when it does start runs rough for a few sexonds before catching properly then its fine. It only does this if its not been run for a few hours. I suspect its a fule pressure issue and added some comments to thias thread https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/sta...m-fixed-23239/ thinking that fitting a check valve would solve my problem. It seems on my car this may not be as straight forward as i hoped. Any ideas? Will I have to drop the tank and change the pump? Could it be my fuel pressure regulator/filter (the one mounted under the car)? How can I check this?

 

did you ever fix this problem?? mine seems to be something similar....
