Shifting from 4WD Hi to Lo?
I followed the owners manual and it seems like you have to give it a pretty good shove to get the lever to move to 4WD Lo? I noticed if I tried to gently move the lever back I get a pretty loud grind and it doesn't go into Lo but when I give it a nice tug back it drops in and works just fine but I get a bit of a grind sound when I move it back.
Is this normal? I hardly ever have a need for the Lo gear but I like to know if it's working properly.

Played with it a bit, and I get it to shift into Lo with no problems now it's shifting back into Hi that I get a bit of a grinding sound, could of swore it did this when I tried to put it in Lo the last time though.

mine dose it from time to time the shift pattern for it sucks. look up novack conversions and they make a much better shifter system so you don't have some of the issues the the stock set up.

OK, well not sure if changing the fluid made any difference but sat in the driveway going from Hi to Lo without any hesitation, did it a bunch of times. lol
This was certainely not the case this morning. I guess I "fixed" it? ha ha
