hey guys, i'm looking for a noise. it seems to be intermitten and sounds like a rattle when the car is turned on/ off or a sizeable bump is hit. also, the car will make a rythmic grinding noise whenever a sharp left turn is taken at speed. all noise seems to be located in the front portion of the vehicle. anybody got ideas?

the car is a 2000 4.0 full time 4x4 w/ selec trac

all skid plates are firmly secured, the exhaust system is sound, the motor mounts appear to be in good condition (i.e. the motor does not twist when under load), the front brakes are new as are both cv axles. (the noise was present before new axles and continues to persist) what else should i check?
