Not sure what shocks were on my 04 JGCL when bought new. I remember all 4 being replaced under warranty by the dealer at link 40K? Shouldn't shocks last 50K or longer?

Moving ahead, the dealer recommended in Feb. of '12 to R/R all 4 shocks @ 70K. That was done with the above listed shocks.

The Mopar dealer I deal with says all parts have a 12 month 12K warranty whichever comes 1st.

Odometer now has 75K with those same 4 shocks. It's riding rough in the front. Noticed the front left shock ruptured and was leaking. Took back to the dealer Jan this year. Shock replaced under warranty.

Warrantied shock ruptured less than 2 months later. No longer covered. SOL. Had Monroe front shocks installed with a lifetime warranty.

What I am getting at is the independent shop stated they won't buy those Mopar shocks because they suck. They went on to say that they would install them on beaters and per customer request. Apparently, there not even comparable to OEM.

Why do Service Advisers fail to ask the Customer what type of shock they are looking for instead of just crap. What kind of training do these guys get? Maybe that's all they keep on hand???

I would think decent shocks would have lasted well over 100K. The al cheapos are still in the rear. Anyone know what shocks were used on the assembly line??
