Typically with an active alarm system if you pull a fuse, the fuse also controls the ignition or fuel pump. (I think, I'm not a security system expert)

Yes my 94 grand limited does this also. only way to stop it is to unlock the tailgate with key. the best way to live your life with this problem is to pull the fuse for the horn and unlock the tailgate whenever this happens. thats what i do haha. wish there was a better way. i miss my horn

your supposed to turn the key back and forth a few times in the lock, this will shut the alarm off and the reason some doors don't disarm it is because there is a clip on the back on the lock that falls off

when this was happening, i stood there for 5 minuets trying to get it to go off. once i did the hatch i looked up how to disarm it and came across this, http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/h...our-zj-483020/

yeah that fixes it. i found my problem was caused from someone breaking in to my jeep before i owned it. all the wiring that goes from the drivers door to the body was all messed up, like 5 wires were cut. today i reconnected those wires. one was the purple one with the yellow tracer and it works fine now. i put my horn fuse back in and now i get to honk at people constantly!

Well I'm glad you got the problem figured out. Electrical issues are the worst!
