so late on Wednesday nite, i was working on my jeep for a little while when my parents said it was time 2 go home. so i locked it up and forgot something inside. so i went and got the key and unlocked the driver side door and the security alarm starts going off. this has happened to me before, so i went and locked the doors and then went back and unlocked them with no success i tried again, and again, and again... still no luck. so we ended up removing one of the terminals to have it stop for the night. i finally got back to it today and put the terminal back on and the lights started flashing again. if anyone can tell me how to turn off the security alarm on it, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

 

unlock the passenger door with the key and it will stop. You might have to hit the unlock button on that side, I can't remember. I have also heard that unlocking the hatch does it too. It's a factory alarm kinda thingy.

trust me, i went around to all the doors, even the hatch for 20 minuets trying to get it to stop and that didnt work

 

with which key? I used the valet key on the passenger side to turn it off.
That factory alarm is a PITA. I just lock and unlock the truck from the passenger side and forget about it

 

i only have 1 key. and i tried opening the passenger door and hitting the lock button, and it still didnt work.

 

Try to unlock the tailgate and hold the key in the unlock position for a couple of seconds.

 

I have to unlck the rear hatch before I can open the drivers door r else the alarm goes off

 

On my 91 all I got to do is unlock the back hatch. Passenger door trick doesn't work. Back hatch is the only way to go with my girl!!! OMG! LOL!

its kinda a pain tho. is there anyway to fix that? or do you just have to get a remote

 

so does anyone know how to COMPLETELY disable it for good so i dont have to worry about this ever again!?!

so there is no fuse, wire, or box or something else that just cant be removed so that the alarm doesnt go off?
