Hey guys. I have a 97 grand Cherokee loredo V6 that starts pretty good, then at times it struggles to start and when it does it dies about 15 seconds later. The car will take a few times to start but after it warms up its good. It cranks good but nothing.
I replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor and the crank shaft sensor but still nothing. Any ideas?

 

When it starts to stall and you push the gas pedal does it rev up okay?

 

Yes it does, it's rough but it stays on

 

New update: the car does it now even though it's warm

 

Sounds to me like a failing CPS.

 

I replaced that the other day but it's still doing the same thing

 

Hola Raul, bienvenido al foro, i will write to you in english because of respect for those who don´t speak spanish. Check your ECU harnesses for rust or sulfate and clean it with some dielectric cleaner, also the ECU has 2 little torx bolts, replace both with shorter ones, because long bolts cause short circuits inside the ECU, good luck and don´t forget telling us how did you fix your problem, saludos!!
