Exclamation Resetting EVIC?

Hello, new to the forum here.
I bought a 2000 Grand Cherokee that had the head gasket and radiator replaced. Everything is fine mechanically now but the overhead vehicle information center, EVIC I believe Jeep calls it, is still flashing and chiming "low coolant".
I have checked the coolant level and it's good. How do I reset this computer so that it stops telling me that the coolant is low?
Thanks in advance, all answers are appreciated!

Jeff

The sensor in the coolant recovery tank may be stuck.

Hadn't thought of that. How would one go about "unsticking" a sensor?

I checked that just now. It works fine. The float isn't stuck.

I stopped at my local auto parts store and had the guy plug his handheld diagnostic tool into it and it had NO codes so there was nothing to clear that route.
Is there an actual reset button somewhere for this vehicle information center?
I saw on another web page someone said "push the reset button IN the dash".
If there such a button, and if so, where in/under the dash could it be found?

I can understand what youre saying, but when the thing chimes and flashes "low coolant", it's only on the screen for a couple seconds. There's no way to scroll thru and get to that message to allow me to push reset.

even if the fload isnt stuck the sensor is probably bad. If your coolant level is fine, then the sensor is bad. There is no way to "reset" it. It either works or not. Replace it and you will be good to go (meaning replace the coolant lvl sensor)
