Where you at, Bro? Your pics look just like my driveway in Syracuse. I've got probably a foot of lake-effect type snow in it now and my snow blower is broken! I know I can back out of the driveway no problem except for that salt-laden windrow at the street. That's going to require a spotter to make sure there's no traffic in sight. I suppose I should go out and see if there's anything left in the grocery stores. I don't HAVE to, but I should at least wheel-pack the driveway so I can get out after MORE snow comes. They don't forecast this storm to quit for another 24 hours!
Just checking now. The governor has banned all tractor-trailers from major highways in the state as of 6 hours ago. An official State of Emergency state wide goes into effect at midnight tonight.

I had the same issue after the plows went thru, the edge of my driveway was rough to get thru. I had to go pull a "Jeep" patriot out of the snow bank in front of my house. They were stuck there a while going back and forth a couple inches here, couple inches there, burying themselves more and more.

When I pulled out of my driveway the lady said, " you made that look easy" because I own a jeep that can actually be of use in the snow, not a rebodied dodge caliber that's awd lol

You got it, guy! The dual solid axles and mechanical t/case is STILL the best platform for traction, and all-terrain tires help a lot. Let me tell you! I have Cooper AT3's on my Jeep and when the winter started there was only 3/16" of tread left on my last pair. They sucked for traction! After I put a new set on, there was no stopping it going anywhere.

I hear that. My DD has Firestone Winterforce studded snows on it and it just eats up anything you put in front of it, my white one "Yeti" has Kumho Roadventure AT or something like that, not the greatest tire but they still do their job and it climbed thru it, axles dragging through the snow the whole time but it crawled thru it.
