Looks like you could have some fun, (speaking sarcastically). Hope you don't have the flooding issues that go with it in a few weeks. Southern Idaho got hammered like that a couple weeks ago. Then it warmed up and flooded everything, closed a major freeway for a couple of days. They still have some issues in the area. Of course I don't have your problem here in sunny 80 degree Las Vegas.

Yeah me and my fiance were just talking about that, when the snow melts it's going to be a total mess. Lots of mud to play in!! Hey, gotta look at the positives lol
Yeah that's crazy about your mailbox, those guys don't care.
Actually, after several years of replacing the post, I decided to fix it so wouldn't have to! It's all large crushed stone out there, so I rented a power auger and bored a 2 ft deep hole and put a piece of 5" pneumatic pipe 4' long into it, then cemented to in. This pipe is about 3/8" wall and a 4X4 slides into it perfectly. I disguised it by putting a 5 gal milk can over it. Now, any snow the plow wing throws will just turn the box! They will have a rude awakening if they actually hit the pipe! There's a law here about an immovable object less than 20' from the centerline, but I don't care.
I live on a thing called "The Dry Hill" because my well is 127' deep. In the 20s, people used the rainwater cistern system for water. In the last 25 years, the horse pasture next door only once had a river running thru it from meltwater.

It's been up in the 80's here most of last month, then fell to 32 yesterday night. My pear trees had already bloomed out and I hope it didn't frostbite them. Don't know if our peach trees are going to do anything at all this year due to how many warm/hot spells we had through the winter. They didn't make a single peach last year for the same reason and the weatherman says this has been the warmest winter ever on record here in Northeast Texas. Looks like it may be another record year for tornadoes here too but I sure hope not. You guys have my sympathy I lived up North in Michigan and North Dakota for a couple of years so I'm very well aquainted with what you are getting.
Yeah it's no good. My dad lives in Dublin, Tx and has had it 80° there when it's been -4° here lol. I'm totally going south, likely North Carolina , at some point.
Yeah that's all I ended up doing. Snow was really deep and it just packed up too much in front of me so I just backed it back up. Went a long ways before it stopped me finally
