Tips, tricks, videos, directions to changing rear side window (not one in door) on 97 zj??

 

Can the motors on these be replaced without the glass? I thought I read somewhere that when you replace the motor the glass comes with it which made no sense to me...

 

stationary glass, not door glass.

 

Get the sealant from advance auto clean up old seal, calk it on jeep press window in place 20 minute job just did it recently hell with paying 100 to have one installed 300 if they supply window.. 30$ tube of sealant FTW

 

Yes a 2-10mm nuts and it seperates glass from regulator

 

I haven't opened up the front passenger door yet, but the glass separated from the motor it seems (it turned 90º forward toward the engine bay when rolled down). So I asked a local mechanic how much it would cost and he told me both the motor and the glass had to be replaced which sounded like bull**** to me...

 

Mine did that as well the glass came out the track si I siliconed it back in havent had a issue since hmmm
