I read a writeup about finding the remote Keyless Entry module and then grounding the program enable pin to program new remotes, but then I ran across this:

NP. I don't think that this write up applies to ZJ's. There is no program enable wire. The program enable is a message sent on the CCD bus which also allows you to choose slot 1 or 2 to program your remote into. Below are the pin outs for 96-98 ZJ's. With that said I see only two options to get a working factory keyless entry,

1 have the dealer program your remotes.

2 find a 96-98 ZJ in the junk yard with remotes, and take the remotes and passenger door module and install the module in your jeep

So...is it possible to program remotes for a 96 Grand Cherokee Limited?
Or is it a dealer only thing? If there is a Remote Keyless Entry module with a program enable pin in this model, where is it?
