Default Rear end noise

I have a 95 grand Cherokee ZJ and when I have my foot on the gas pedal there is a humming noise from the rear end. All fluids in the vehicle have been checked. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of it, it's just annoying. It seems the faster i go the louder it is, but again its only when my foot is on the accelerator. Anyone else experienced this? Anyone know what it could be?

Thanks for any help

sounds like when my rear bearings went out in my xj. Have you looked at your bearings on your carrier? I would look at those. That is what I thinking though.

I would try what the others have said, Rear Wheel Bearing(s) or Differential Carrier Bearing(s) or a Rear U-joint are all valid places to seriously look at. The Fuel Intake Manifold is located on the engine, in the front of the Jeep. Thats like going to the Dr for constipation and the Doc starts by looking in your ears! Doesnt make sense right? I seriously doubt that its the intake manifold. Maybe he said Fuel Pump? but even then, it would be a constant whurring sound.

My money is on what 00jeepXJ said

I think they're right next to the flux capacitor or muffler bearings... lol

Does it sound kind of like a "whirring" noise that increases with speed?

fFuel intake manifolds is that anything like the board strecher we always used to have the new kid in class ask for... LOL

seriously thou if it gets louder with speed and gets quiter or disappears when you let off the gas it is most likely in the rear end bearing or gears.. mine has been doing that for the last few months, have new rear end in garage to replace when it finally goes out..
