quick ?

hey guys i got a question if my o2 sensor was unhooked would it make my 4.0 run lean and all crappy and make it miss and shake at idle.?? any help would be appreciated it`s a 98 with a 96 motor

It might. The O2 is a major sensor when it comes to adjusting the fuel curve.
