When I picked up my '99, I knew the drivers window wouldn't go down. The other three all did and the locks all worked, so I figured I just need to replace the driver's regulator since those cables are prone to break.
Found a good deal on a new unit, picked it up, took the door apart and installed it, Since everything was apart I used my battery charger to power the new motor up and down to complete the install. Everything looks good!
Button everything back up, turn on the key, hit the switch, nothing. WTH? Push the lock button, nothing. Try another window, nothing. Walk around to the passenger side and hit that button, nothing there, try all doors, no Bueno.
Looking at both fuse blocks, I don't see any fuse or relay that is identified for the windows or locks. That doesn't seem right. Is that really the case or am I overlooking something?
Also, are there any common failure points I should start looking at?

Yeah, the flexible door harness that connects the door modules to the body. One broken wire in the driver's door can kill all of them.
When electricals stop working you should always check fuses and relays first (some vehicles might even use a ciicuit breaker) and then the wiring, whether its with a multimeter or a visual inspection. Its a bit like a trouble code for an engine sensor. You replace the sensor right away, right? Not necessarily.
Careful with them parts cannons.

I wanted to ask if anyone ran into this on 94 zj rear windows won't roll up or down with new switches. I checked for broken wires and found none. Then I jumped the motor at the plug works fine. when I put the new switches in all the window does is a click. I read the threads but nothing exactly like this. Anybody have any ideas I would appreciate any help. thanks

Yea, probably is. Jumped in it this weekend to move it and noticed the right side speakers weren't working, but lo and behold, the windows all worked.

Yeah...about that window lock switch. I've bumped it with my elbow and then obsessed about the windows not working until I noticed it was set! D'oh!

So, turned out to be the big black ground wire. Soldered in an extra 1/2" to give it some flex room. Man is it tight in there. That was a pain but almost everything works. The rear liftgate still doesn't lock, so I'll need to tear into that. I suspect, if its like the 1st generation, the lock rod has slipped a bit and it isn't getting full throw from the solenoid.
Funny thing about this was the ground wire is pretty thick and doesn't bend easy, so sometimes when I'd close the door, they would make enough contact for things to work, but open it up, and everything went dead.
