Po442 code
Hi this is my first post here, was wondering if anyone knows if my jeep will pass a smog test after a po442 code showed. I plan on erasing it but am wondering if that small leak ( somewhere in the evap system ) will make it fail . I put a new gas cap on with no luck.
thx

It could be the fuel cap causing the problem. You can erase the code and it should pass as long as all but one of the monitors set, it will still pass if the evap monitor is not set because the evap system is not tested every time the vehicle is driven. Too many variables in order for to go into a test. As long as the check engine light is not on you should be fine.

Check the vacuum line going to the vapor canister. Sometimes a leak will show up as a system fault.
