P0505
Recently I attempted to start my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 unsuccessfully. It seems that it will only stay running if I give it gas. The check engine light came on with a P0505 code. The code apparently is for the IAC. Now I changed this a few years ago but bought a replacement from the local parts store. Should I replace it again using one from the dealer? The IAC doesn't look dirty but if needed I could attempt to clean it. Any thoughts concerning this or should I try something else?

Welcome to CF!
It is my opinion you should replace it with a Mopar part. However, it sounds to me more like the TPS. You can get a little better prices on Mopar parts at moparpartsdiscounted.com
