Afternoon folks,
I am asking if anyone has opened up wj headlights before? I have an 01 GC, the headlights are totally clouded over. I have a restoration kit on the way with a set of damn near perfect boneyard find stockers. The old buckets I want to open up to throw projectors on both the high and low beams, but has anyone done it that could give me any insight? Im going to buy projectors and the hid kits from trs (the retrofit source) and they come with sealant to re-seal them. Im just curious as to if there's anything different, or specific to these. I have done my snowmobile and my integra, but those have tabs to remove the lenses. Thanks. I would just buy a set of Angel eyes already modded but being out in rural Alaska folks don't want to ship things to me, so I have to do these on my own.

i dont know about your headlights, but on an old set of Saab headlights, you put the in the oven at a low heat for a while, and carefully with all the Personal Protective Equipment, separate the 2 halves.
Sorry thats not really helpful, but its something.
Good luck

Reminds me of the time my friend decided to boil his motorcycle chain in oil IN HIS WIFE'S BEST POT!!! The best part was we ragged him about it forever!
