I'm sorry if I seem to be monopolizing this section of the forum. It's just that I'm retired and working nights a few nights and don't have too much else to do being inside because of the weather. I also love to teach others about what I've experienced in my life. I try to be factual and not misguide anybody and if I'm wrong, tell me please. I just turned 70 and have been working on cars since I was 16. I love this forum and all the guys that post here. Peace.
I for one like the information you provide!! I've actually posted a question or two hoping you specifically would respond. The information you provide is very helpful. Thankyou for the useful info!
I don't get to this forum often, and usually when I have in the past it's because I have a problem with my GC and need some answers or at least to see what others have experienced. Quite frankly, that's selfish of me if that's all I did here -- which is why when I do have problems I like to share my experience with the forum. Fortunately, my problems have been few with my GC so far.
For what it's worth, I for one (and I'm sure there's many others) appreciate your time and input here and sharing your knowledge and love of cars in general, especially our Jeeps. - Respect.
Don't apologise for doing what you love; what your passionate about and for being a most helpful forum member! I'm sure lots of others out there will agree; when responses to questions are slow in coming- you Dave will always answer and give the benefit of your experience!
Keep it up! It's very welcome!

You are not hurting anything. I pretty much commandeered the thread Caged created "What are you listening to right now" and no one has bothered me about it. I like to think peeps swing by once in a while and ****** a new favorite artist or band. I had to grow up with LP's and no interwebz so new music was pretty much word of mouth because they never play the good tunz on the radio.
Just keep doing your stuff, that's what makes this a community.

Okay, but I grew up with Chevys, the Who, and AC/DC! Do you still want me?
I find it amusing that an audiology intern is into music! "Ah, all you kids are going to be deaf!"
My very first album purchase at the age of 11 was Deep Purple - Machine Head, my second was Yes - Fragile, so OK.
I'm not an audiology intern in real life but I play one on the interwebz, if it's too loud, you're too old.
Thanks, Busted. Coming from you, that's sure praise.
Turbo, my first 2 albums were Big Brother and the Holding Company followed by Led Zeppelin. Those were on 8-track! I had a few 45's before that but mostly Beach Boys and Buddy Holly. While we were at sea in the Navy, we listened to The Beatles on short wave radio. I can't remember the station but I know they were transmitting from ships anchored off the coast of England because the BBC wouldn't allow that stuff to be broadcast in the country.
I wish more people listened to Janis Joplin because there was a lady that could SING! Then there was Grace Slick. Sex, drugs, and rock&roll!
I get a lot of strange looks. A 70 year old man with a grey beard sitting in a zebra striped WJ with AC/DC blasting out while waiting in a parking lot for my sister to finish going thru Target! I love it!
Sorry guys, I've got this thing about Fords. I competed against them for too many years to even care. When I drove my 67 Camaro SS, there was a co-worker with a Mercury Cyclone 390 that always egged me on for a race. One night he blew it up and never talked to me again! Oh well. The only Ford that got my attention was a 69 Mustang GT. Now there was some competition worthy of my interest.
BUT I digress. I really like this forum and will continue to add my knowledge when I can. I always like to welcome newbies and sometimes post just to get interest started on the thread. If I don't, it's because I haven't a clue about what he wants to know.

Hi Dave, i really don´t think you are hurting anyone ´cause the real meaning of a good forum is helping each other and you sir have a lot of experience!!, Thank you for your replies!!!. By the way i love zeppelin too!!
Coming from a forum member from across the pond! Just for your info Dave the radio station you rocked out to years ago was Radio Caroline. Was as you say a pirate station that famously played AOR music( album orientated rock). Anchored off the British Coast,! It started in 1964.
Now that's amazing! It was 1964 on a North Atlantic Nato cruise that we first heard them. I'm not sure it was short wave because I had a hand held multiband radio. One guy recorded the stuff from the Beatles and when we got back to Boston, nobody had heard this stuff yet.
