I was trying to find out if the vent tube on my NV247 was clogged. I removed the rubber hose and after trying wire I stuck a zip tie in the metal vent tube to see if it was clogged. Damn thing got stuck! I could not get it out AND then I broke it off. Part of it is still in the metal vent tube. I don't know why it got stuck. I don't know if it got jammed into the chain or just hung up in the elbow. I drove it. I'm pretty sure that vent tube is clogged now, if it wasn't before. Any HELPFUL thoughts will be appreciated.

Oh man, tough one. Not too familiar with the part itself. Can the tube come off completely?

I think it's pressed in. Can't get to it without taking the case out. If I did that, I could open it up and remove it. I'm thinking , since its likely wedged in the tube, it will just stay there and won't cause any Mechanical issues. Only time will tell.

I tried going in from the fill hole like you had suggested but could not pull it off. This is a result of my compulsive nature. If I had used a pipe cleaner or similar like I had planned it would be okay. I believe its jammed in there, but if it became dislodged, I was thinking like you. The weird thing is, even with that tie in the tube, I'm still getting that fine mist/coating of fluid spray. And the level of fluid in the case does not seem to be affected. Its still full.

Wait....what? I talked about using air pressure, not sticking something inside! Putting air pressure into the fill hole would have blown anything out of the vent pipe.
