grand Cherokee motor swap
I have a 2002 grand Cherokee and got a 1998 grand Cherokee how bad is it going to be putting the 98 motor in the 02? Im also swapping the ecm n bcm.

Bad news. The 02 has motor mounts in a different location on the block so they won't fit the 98. The oil filter on the 98 is in the way of the 02 motor mounts also. If you can find a way to get mounts to fit, keep the 02 PCM and BCM, find a way to hang the coil pack on the 98 head or swap the head. You'll have to remote mount the oil filter also.
There are also problems with accessory mounts between the two motors. The only engines that are direct swap are 4.0s from 99-04.

Somebody DOES make motor mounts for that swap, but that's as far as that goes. With enough time and money, anything is possible. Also, IDK if you have a 4.7 to start with, but that's another whole kettle of fish and beyond my experience.
