Oil viscosity?
I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee 4.7L with a 125,000.00. I use Royal Purple 5w-20, after about 3 k the jeep is down about a half of quart. Should I go to 10W-30?

1/2 a quart in 3K miles isn't bad at all.
If you're worried you should find out if it's leaking or burning
the oil, but at 3K miles its time for an oil change anyway.
I'd change it, fill it up to capacity and keep on goin.

Stick with the 5w-20, you don't have an oil consumption problem at all. I change my oil at 6000mile schedules, so one quart in in that time frame is ok with me.
