When you changed the tranny, did you flush out the cooler(s)? My 97 ZJ was plugged with burnt clutch material and had to be reverse pressure purged to get any fluid to flow. The ZJ didn't have an overtemp light so there wasn't any indication there was a problem. Lack of cooling was probably what caused the transmission to fail in the first place.
