Noise from sway bar links

i bough. 2004 wj that had a banging noise from the rear. Because the car also had a lot of sway I replaced the sway bar with an1" Addco bar and Crown performance links. It still rattled and banged, even a bit worse. Everything else looked fine so I took it to a autbody shop.They went thru everything and finally as last resort disconnected the links. Noise gone. (Some $250.00 later) I brought it back home and replace the new links with another brand. It was quiet for about 50 miles. Now the banging is returning. I replace the lower bolts with new from Mopar. They sent the wrong bolts for the upper link so I reused original. One other thing, the Addco sway bar seems 1/4" wider so to keep the links vertical I had to install some washers.
anyone else have issues like this?

I had something similar. I had a banging back there after replacing a tailpipe. Up on the lift, everything looked good, but once it sat on the floor, the swaybar link would hit the tailpipe and rattle badly. We heated the hanger strap and bent it to move the tailpipe about 1" toward the fuel tank. Silence!

My standby xj, driving while I do the head on the zj, ...front sway bushings shot to heck, but the PO welded a plow mount right over them. So I ran a couple 3" lag bolts in the loose one on the passenger side...Now it tracks down the road like a railroad train..straight as an arrow..Lol after doing all the front end and scratching my head
