91 Cherokee Laredo---- with possible 93 parts...
Straight 6 - 4WD - 4.0 - 4 door - Automatic - AC - RED (if that helps...lol)
No crank No start
So all was fine..... every 10th start or so the tilt steering wheel column needed to be lifted or shaken a bit to start the truck.....on a rare occasion the gear shift needed to be smacked a bit in park so allow start up.
Now there is nothing....I changed the started, new battery and all wires appear to be in tact.
DEAD.....no ticking, clicking or anything. Dash lights and gauges come on and work, lights, radio and so on.... the battery amps show 9 on gauge when 14 is straight up and optimal..... tried jumping... no go... silence.
I have no taken apart eh steering column to see if it is the ignition parts.... I can not get the ignition lock out.... all Youtube video show multiple versions of doing this but NONE look like mine..
It looks like I might have a 93 steering column on my 91......not even sure if that would work.
ANY help assistance or wisdom would be much appreciated...

Did you not read the post guy.... you just looked at the big shiny images didn'tcha.......lol
NO CRANK NO START.............when the steering wheel is jostled around it starts......just not any more...what would be the most likely issue with the given symptoms....
First of all, it looks like a GM column, which it probably is. If there is a hole in the key tumbler right next to the key, you stick a pin in that hole with the key in it and the tumbler should pop out. Also, your gauge is showing about 12 volts in that picture. I would suspect your problem is the neutral safety switch anyway. Or a broken wire in the tilt wheel unit.
