just a quick question. my reverse gear is audibly louder and physically much more noticeable than all my other gears (it seems to groan/grind). is this normal with Jeeps, common problem, or am i just screwed with a busted tranny?

 

It helps to provide info on what jeep your talking about..i.e,year,trans etc.

 

my bad, it's a 2000 grand cherokee selectrac 4x4

 

Is it a 4.0? Then you would have a 42 RE and there was a TSB on noisy trans...i'll see if i can find it.
