Dont see why your afraid to cut the fenders...i know some do a ****ty job at it(me included) but mine's cheap and rusty and i didn't care to waste a lot of time doing it...but if you take your time and do it right, you can make it look pretty good and not all hacked up looking...its an easy free way to get a bit more tire room...i agree 33's and 2" lift is not ideal for wheeling, but with my trimmed fenders its plenty drivable and does suprisingly well off-road...ideally i'd love a 3.5-4.5" lift with my setup...but im a broke a$$.lol
Lol i know how the money thing is. And ya the front fenders no problem to cut in the body line but the rear is where the issue is. And we have looked alot and it is not that simple to cut the rears like on a xj.

A front to rear swap will gain you 3.5-4 inches of lift. Just remember the taller you go the more involved and expensive its going to get. You will need longer brake lines also. Also anything over 4.5" and Id suggest going to a long arm set up. If your trying to get 33s on there but have no rubbing at all Id say your going to want at least 6 inches if not more of lift. That way you wont have to trim anything, but you will sacrifice your offroad capability by having too high of a center of gravity.

I don't know what your issue with cutting the fenders is, but done right there will be no issue. If you take your time and carefully cut vertical strips up to your imaginary line. Roll the fender edge back and weld the outer and inner fender together. Pull the inside panel and shoot some weatherproof expanding foam inside the inner fender, and you'll have no problems. I've had this done for almost 2 years now, and I haven't had the slightest hint of a problem or condensation coming into the cab.
