need help desideing
i have a chance to buy a 1994 jeep grand cherokee or a 1988 cherokee both around same mileage what yall think would be best i want to do a lift and take wheeling time to time

well, there are ALOT more off road parts available for the cherokee rather than the grand, but personally I like a grand I bit better because you can get it with a V8, and i think they look better. but to each his own.

The Grand will be quieter with less wind noise, it will be roomier, it will be easier to diagnose engine codes, and it will be more comfortable. The XJ has more aftermarket support for lifts and bumpers, but the 88 is the RENIX engine management system, XJs suffer from a lot of wind noise, they're kind of cramped for taller folks, and the ride is not quite as nice as a ZJ.
