Hello, I've got a little bit of a builders block. The problem is that I can't deside on what type of offroad lighting I want to do. And the design of the roof rack I'm building depends on my decision with the lights..

Now I just LOVE the typical round offroad lights. Gives it that ol'school in your face look. But these new LED bars give it the i dare ya look.

Now the application and what I want to achieve with the lighting is to light up 360deg around the xj. I'm not to concerned about how far I can throw the light down the trail. Just want to light up what's around me.

I have both designed and ready for the rack mockup.. I just can't deside.. Ol'school or new age.

For a roof rack, I'd say check out Ebay led's. There is always a ton of smaller LED's for sale cheap. On a roof rack there is potential for damage so I wouldn't spend a ton on them. For the front of the rack I personally really like th 40" or so LED bars. I had a roof rack on my last XJ & ran Hella round lights. Looked cool but no comparison to today's LED bars. Side:

I finally decided on my lights. I went with a 31" and four 4" led bars. Should be here in a few days. Here's how I'm going to have them setup on the rack
