Default need advice

OK, I am needing a bumper cover, bumper cushion and a grill for my 98 GC limited.
Who has the best prices on factory replacement parts ?
Or do i go ahead and buy aftermarket ? Are their any good aftermarket parts that are high quality ?

I would have to pose the question why do you want the stock bumper? If it is for licencing or transfer of ownership reasons, or to retain that stock appearance then I get it, but if you are just looking to replace your bumper than aftermarket is for sure your best bet. Solid steel bumpers look tough, protect your vehicle better in collisions, and while not retaining the same as stock impact cusioning are generally a more solid feature. Plus the ability to "accidentally" bump into things without concern while off roading, or mall crawling for that matter and the options to add spare tire carriers, lights etc...all improve with aftermarket.

GZ, I want to retain it as factory as its my driver and I dont do any climbing or trails. If I found a great deal on a lite weight steel bumper that would add a lot of nose weight to it I may do that.

That would be cool ! Lots of money no doubt, but it may be half the weight and look nicer than a factory cover.

Only one I've found so far is a ARB Bull Bar made from Aluminum and sold through Rusty's Offroad for like $480

Could always go with a Icelandoffroad, lightweight and winch capable.

Icelands Fiber Glass bumper is sweet and rather strong. I've talked to a few people that have ran them and still have yet to crack them after hitting trees in the woods..

Yea! I've heard great things about them. At first people were laughing about them but now I think they have changed their minds. Fiberglass that thick is real strong and to me,it would be easy to fix. I like the look of them also.

I will call them. Those bumpers dont look half bad and sure would do a better job of deflecting deer if it brushes off trees. lol
