Default My 93 Zj Cherokee. Some pics

The family car, our ZJ. Got some electrical issues I am working on. got another ZJ for parts. Eventual plans? Camo roll on bed liner (monstaliner) paint job- just got Iron road 4" lift kit for it, 31s, custom bumpers. Then continue to drive the crap out of it until 4.0 gives out, then Mercedes diesel. Lots of Mercedes diesels in Hawaii. 200,000 miles on it now!

I have never seen a ZJ with that type of body side moulding before, kind of cool looking.

Stock no cladding, yep. Will be combining two vehicles to make one eventually.

There has never been a swap like this before I gather, and really don't think it is cost effective for this jeep- mo betta for my wrangler.

Most of us don't have access to diesels. For off-road, diesels are torquey little bastards. Go for it!

Boy did I ever let this thread go! You use the OM617 turbo diesel. They have swap kits for the AW4 Trans, so you use stock trans and Tcase- but they only make the motor mounts for the XJ and Wranglers as far as i know right now- 7 years later this is still true from the original post. My jeep collection has grown dramatically since this post, I still have this very rare, from what i understand, 92 SE ZJ- I am in the process of restoring it again actually. Got side tracked by two lava eruptions and a pandemic LOL. I will probably leave it a 4.0 for now, as I have done two MB swaps into wranglers since this post, and made good money for the work. I would rather do an CTD Bt4, but the cost is super high.
