Default more issues- hey, it`s a jeep

Hi again folks, Overdrive26 again with more stuff to ponder.
`97 jgc ltd. First, my driver door sags like an old gal`s... well, you know. I trot down to Advance Auto Parts and get one. when I get home, I decide to install it before dinner. That was a week ago... that sucker still ain`t out I`m resorting to a chisel and a three lb. hammer. It still hasn`t moved. any ideas anyone. Please?
And lastly; I had tires and an alignment done. The tires are: Kumho 235/70/16 and they seem to be very good tires. but now, when I`m driving I hear a whining noise comming from the left front end area, but only when I let off the accelerator. As long as it`s pulling- no noise. I took the hub bearing out and checked it out as best I could. It was clean and tight- so tight I could barely turn the bearing by hand. So, what do you think? please help if you can. Thanks- for real

dont think hub bearing should be that tight espically for something that has been on the jeep for a good amount of time you may want to look into it further

The only resistace to turning that bearing should be the grease seal friction. It sounds like the grease is gone and it's about to seize. Replace BOTH of them NOW.

Smile hub bearing

Hey guys, Thanks a bunch for the replies. I think both of you are right. I think my best bet is to go ahead and tear it down before it gets any worse. Hey, it`s guys like you two that make this site so good. I`m in your debt, thanks...for real.
