On 2012 the blades of the electric fan on my 99 WJ just exploded so i took it off and put in a fanclutch from a 2000 dodge dakota, never overheated since the swap and the MPG were practically the same, two years later i sold it and new owner has been happy so far. By the way, i must tell you that moisture and heat where i live can make a car cry. My 2 cents.

you should be able to. Just make sure you have alittle space in between the fan clutch and mechanical fan so they don't rub

Old fart with a wrench
Just be aware when sitting in stalled traffic if the temp starts to climb, slip it into neutral and increase the engine's speed a little to get more air thru the radiator. With the old direct drive fan on my Chevy trucks, I had to do that a lot. If you're just creeping, keep it in first gear.
