lucas fuel add and mystery oil any recommendations
hello everyone,
i bought a 1996 jeep grand cherokee jan of 2015
its ran for the most part fairly well for this last year and half until just recently when the (hopefully it was this part) crankshaft position sensor went bad.
i have before it a 1998 jeep grand cherokee which i bought and ran for almost 10 years. but after buying it i started to use z-max in it. people say its a shame product but i seem to get a good benefit out of it. I would use it every time my mileage dropped below 17mpg at the next oil change. after using it my mileage would average 18-18.5. would have to do this about every other oil change. mainly used it for its claim of less wear and tear on the vehicle.
my new vehicle seems to average right around 15.3-15.5 can't seem to get it any better. vehicle has the same 4.0 l engine and i drive it the same. the only difference is i've not used any additives in it yet. I've had it for about a year and a half and was about to add some additives. I've done enough oil changes that I think all the major gunk would have come out.
should I use the z-max which i'd have to buy or should at least this time around try the lucas fuel additive and i also have that mystery oil (can't think of its full name right now).
any suggestions, ideas, etc.
