Lower ball joint help

Judging from the picture I have to say no.
It looks like he didnt bother to clean all the rust away from the area before pressing the ball joint in.
But we also cant see the entire thing it might be buried way down in there. It might be very well seated. If it's a Moog brand I think they some that are a little bit oversized to compensate for a wallowed out hole

It is Moog brand, the mechanic said the same thing about it being oversized when I asked him about it. I wasn't sure, better to be safe. So I can assume there should be no problems with it, other than wear. Thanks so much for your help.

I would most definitely keep an eye on it for awhile. After a few weeks I wouldn't worry about it anymore
But that's me with pretty much every single repair ever lol

This is an important part. Since If a ball joint fails completely, it can result in the wheel dramatically falling off the car.
Can you get more pictures to see? It sounds like this should be verified better now.

Moog makes 2 different types. One is ribbed to fit tight in oversized sockets and the other one is smooth. You may not have needed the ribbed one, but now you're stuck with using that type unless you replace the lower A-arm.
