Default Looking at picking up a WJ

I currently have a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and after 20" of snowfall this week, I realize maybe I shouldnt have used my truck as a trade-in . Ive always liked Jeep, but I have never been a fan of Chrysler products. Being in Alaska, there are tons of Grand Cherokee WJs around, and alot of them have 100k+ miles. Ive never had a vehicle with that high of miles, but with how vehicles are built these days Im not entirely concerned about it. Im mainly seeking advice as to what I should look for when I go look at one(rear mains, electrical, etc.)

Thanks in advance.

Transmission and engine. The 4.0's are mostly bullet proof but I've herd mixed things about the 4.7. Try to find one with little to no sludge build up and if you can find a 4.7 H.O. you get another 25 H.P. from the factory at no loss from your MPG. I'd also keep and eye on the electronics...ZJ's and WJ's both seem to have some problems with there electrical systems. IMO I believe the ideal WJ would be a 4.7 with the towing and up country package. Try to find one with tow hooks at the very least.
