Default locking hubs on a 97 ZJ

Is it possible to install locking hubs on my 97 ZJ and is it a PIA and expensive? Will it significantly improve my gas mileage or is it a waste of time? Also, would the stock alloy wheels fit? I may need to replace the axle shafts anyway, so I was wondering how far I should go. It's a 4.0 with open u-joints up front. The bearing hubs are new. I'm asking the best guys I know. You've done it all, so enlighten me!

IMO, not worth the $ your going to spend. The kits are somewhere around $1500 from what I remember.

I doubt it will improve mileage. I switched from a vac disconnect to solid shaft which you would think it would make mpg worse but I didint notice a drop.
