Default Lights flashing

When I started up my 96 GC the lights started flashing. Interior and exterior. It did this once before while i was driving for @ 30 secs but quit. It's not quitting this time. Anyone had this happen before? Flashers aren't on, blinkers not on, no codes. Puzzled............

It's clearly an electrical issue.. Start checking grounds and even the main harness

same thing happened to my 98 ZJ. I was told that it was the headlight switch. will let you know if it fixes when the new switch comes in.

I'd appreciate that. How often does it happen to you? I don't drive it daily so I wouldn't know if it worked for a while.

as soon as I start it the dash lights just keep flashing. If I turn the dash lights down then the little error display in front of the shifter keeps flashing. Rockauto says my light switch should be here by the weekend.

Replaced the switch and all my dash light stopped flashing and now my fog light work. Local parts store wanted $186 CAD for the switch, got it of Rock Auto for $67 CAD. Looks to be a good quality switch.

Thanks for the info. I'll do the same. How much trouble was it to change?

It was very easy. Took the main dash trim off and then the wood trim piece. You can Youtube it there is a video showing it. Hope it works for you.
