Hey guys been a long while since I've been active on these forums, long story short, had family issues, and lost my xj last summer in a t-bone accident...

Anyhow a few weeks ago I managed to pick up a 95 5.2 Orvis edition zj, turned the key and drove home for 400$ �� Obviously needs some tlc, but it's a good foundation to work from.

So to begin I snagged a 242 case out of a 4.0 equipped zj that has a matching 95' tag on the case (my current crap 249 does as well) so from my understanding I can just swap inputs and go (assuming the gear cut is the same..should be) guess my question is if anyone has done this swap on a 95' with the 46RH trans and had any driveshaft length issues (Dana 35 rear)? Curious if I need to source another shaft from one of the many options I can at the pick and pull before diving in lol.

Second- I want to add a 2" spacer lift to the upcountry package it already came with...being the upcountry nets around 1-1.5" this should put me somewhere in. 3" lift range cheaply....any idea if the shocks that I'm assuming are also made for the upcountry would handle the extra lift (if I remember stock shocks were okay for about 2" on the xj, so adding 2" to something that in my mind should be made for 1-1.5" already...)

Any links for what should be changed at certain heights as well? I remember the xj was LCA's around 3" tracbar ect...just curious if there's a "rule of thumb" for the ZJ out there as well...I'm assuming the front would be similar but I know it's an LP 30 and the rear suspension I know nothing about or what's up with that when it starts getting lifted.
