i recently bought a new nss and nss connector but cant seem to find the wiring diagram for it the wires are different colors from the wiring on the car can anyone help me out and let me know which wires to connect together

 

A 95 ZJ parts manual shows the NSS (automatic transmission) connects both to the starter and PCM via circuit T41 20-BK/WT wire

I found a diagram via google, for a ZJ NSS


#1 Backup lamps
#2 Ground
#3 12V fuse

You can use a DMM to check for ground and hot.

CAV-1 L1 18 VT/BK - Back-up Lam Feed
CAV-2 T42 18 BR/YL Engine Starter motor relay ground
CAV-3 F22 18 WT/TN Fused ignition switch output (run)

 

Okay, check the back of the plug for broken wires. When my reverse lights stopped working one of the wires had broken off in the plug. You should be able to order a new plug from a dealer. OR go cut one out of a wreck in a yard and splice it in. If you bypass it and start it in drive or reverse, not only is it dangerous but the trans clutches will get hammered when it starts.
